Once there was a little tiger cub,
Valuable in more ways than one,
Taken from his frozen home
Into the land of the sun.
Discovered by a lioness,
A unique bond was made.
And because of his heavy coat,
He kept mostly to the shade.
Trials occurred and plots were hatched,
His enemies did goad,
Forcing him into an unwelcoming forest
Known as Mortis Bode.
Does Bohdan grow? Does Bohdan thrive?
Or does he learn the skills enough only to merely survive?
Will the Gurrad Posse get their revenge?
Will Faraji lead the pride?
Do the hyenas come unhinged?
Will the vultures no longer abide?
Is the escape from Nogard the croc
One that is broad or narrow?
To find out the answers to these questions
You must read “In the Shadows.”
Vincent Gibbons is a proud native of Georgia and has lived in the Atlanta area most of his life, while his wife, Sharahnne, is originally from Maryville, Tennessee. They share a love of Christ, SEC Football, exploring their creativity, and wildlife.
The culmination of illegal poaching, trade and the destruction of habitat due to logging and other human intervention have decimated the population of this magnificent species to the precipice of extinction. There are less than 500 Amur tigers in the wild as of 2010. Please get involved in tiger conservation efforts before it’s too late.

Message:
Bohdan, the innocent, the persecuted and torn cub who grows into a king within himself, a survivor and a warrior, I speak this way of him because of the excellent manner Bohdan has been presented and taken me and readers on a journey throughout the course of his young and trying life. A hands down original and exuberant way to focus attention on the tragedy of poaching and ways to stop it. I applaud and will spread the word of such an exceptional literary work! Great job!

I read this book last year. It was well paced, and written in such a way that I felt compelled to read until completion. It's not without violence and mature content, but it's not done wantonly and without reason. I would like to see this work animated at some point. Plus, it bring attention to the plight that tigers face today from human interactions and asks the reader what could can be done to protect these magnificent creatures from the scourge of hunters and poachers.

In the Shadows is a an exceptional story for all ages. The authors challenged us as individuals to be more conscious of our behavior and how they impact the world around us. This story offers glimpses into discrimination, relationship building, conflict, helping others, and offers the use of challenging vocabulary for young readers. I found this to be a true page turner. I highly recommend this book to all readers.
